West End

Situated in bustling West End, the new Milani Gallery now resides in what was a dilapidated two-level structure with a multitude of structural defects.
The large-scale renovation and fit out of the structure was designed by Vokes and Peters Architects, who also joined as an anchor tenant along with Mast Furniture.
Works included re-building many of the structural walls, new off-form concrete stairs, major services upgrades, feature ‘light weight brick’ facades, new mezzanine levels for offices and bringing the energy rating and amenities of the building to meet the expectations of the first-class tenants and its guests.
The result is a highly sought-after look incorporating painted feature brick set off by dominant Rosewood joinery, internal skylights, polished plaster and bespoke feature lights.

This project received a regional commendation at the 2019 Qld Architectural Awards.
